The Northern Alabama Diocese (NAD) of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ has a rich legacy rooted in faith, leadership, and a â€‹

Known for his servant-leadership and pastoral heart, he continues to build upon the legacy of Apostle Williams by fostering unity, empowering local assemblies, and advancing the gospel throughout the region.

Together, this history represents not just a timeline of leaders, but a testimony of God’s faithfulness to His people. The Northern Alabama Diocese remains committed to holiness, sound doctrine, and Kingdom impact—equipping churches and leaders to serve with excellence in this generation and beyond.

Throughout his tenure, Apostle Williams served as a shepherd, teacher, and visionary—dedicated to nurturing the churches under his care while also serving in national leadership roles within COOLJC. Under his guidance, NAD experienced tremendous growth and gained a reputation for excellence in ministry and service.

In September 2024, Bishop Clinton Carr, Jr. was appointed to succeed Apostle Williams as the Bishop of the Northern Alabama Diocese. A passionate preacher, teacher, and community leader, Bishop Carr brings a renewed energy and vision for the Diocese.​

Established to unify and strengthen the apostolic work across Northern Alabama, the Diocese flourished under the leadership of Apostle Charles Williams, who was the first appointed Bishop over NAD. With unwavering dedication and apostolic insight, Apostle Williams laid the foundation for spiritual growth, church planting, and the development of strong, spirit-led leaders across the region.
